Juan Martinez, President-Elect of NAHREP on The Power Is Now Agent Spotlight


Juan Martinez is the Broker/Owner of Century 21 Martinez & Associates in Las Vegas, Nevada. Juan has been in the Real Estate Industry in Southern Nevada for 11 years. Thanks to his hard work and dedication of listing and selling homes throughout the community, he is the #1 Hispanic Agent in the Silver State as well as the #1 Hispanic Agent in the country per the recent Wall Street Journal Real Trends Report. He has been able to accomplish all of this with just a small group of support staff and sales associates.
 His success and commitment have also earned him many awards throughout his career, including the RE/MAX Hall of Fame Award in 2007 and the RE/MAX Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009. Juan has also been a recipient of the Chairman's Circle Award for the last eight consecutive years. He is also a three time winner of the new RE/MAX Diamond award, which is an honor only bestowed to million dollar producers.

Juan first became involved with NAHREP through the Nevada Chapter. He had the privilege to serve as the Chapter President in 2009. During his term, he spearheaded a membership effort which took membership from 250 to 1,300 members and to acknowledge his contributions he was named Chairman Emeritus after his term. Juan also created a National Mentorship Program for Chapter Presidents to provide coaching and guidance on how to successfully grow their local chapters through recruitment, management, and leadership.  A proud Platinum member of NAHREP, Juan currently serves as the 2012 President Elect and Vice Chairman on the NAHREP National Board of Directors and was recognized as the #1 Top Producing Agent in NAHREP by closing 584 transactions in 2011.

Goal Setting versus Goal Achievement

JPMorgan Got Off Easy: Why The Settlement Is Not Justice

The Justice Department, along with federal and state partners, announced this week a $13 billion settlement with JPMorgan - the largest settlement with a single entity in American history.   This settlement brings to a resolution the federal and state civil claims arising out of the packaging, marketing, sale and issuance of residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) by JPMorgan, Bear Stearns and Washington Mutual prior to Jan. 1, 2009.
